Every colour, every sheen

You choose from all RAL colours and, on request, NCS shades. The gloss level then determines how a colour comes across: the same shade looks very different in matt than in high gloss.

The gloss level

Gloss is measured in gloss units (GU) at a 60° angle. The higher the value, the more light the finish reflects.

  • Matt ± 5–10 GU Calm, velvety, contemporary
  • Satin-matt ± 20–30 GU Popular for kitchens and doors
  • Satin ± 50–60 GU Soft sheen, easy to clean
  • High gloss > 85 GU Mirror-like and striking

Tips for choosing your colour

  • 1

    Want the radiator to disappear?

Choose the same colour as the wall, in matt or satin-matt. The radiator then blends into the room.

  • 2

    Or make it a feature?

A radiator in a bold colour, like the olive green at Brouss, becomes a deliberate design element.

  • 3

    Match your windows

We lacquer garage doors, fencing and shutters in the same RAL colour as your exterior joinery. Ask your joiner for the code.

  • 4

    Not sure?

Bring a sample, a piece of fabric or a tile to the workshop. Colour is best judged in real light, not on a screen.

Questions about colour & finish

Which colours are possible?

All RAL colours, and NCS colours on request. If you have a sample or an example, feel free to bring it along.

Which gloss level should I choose?

Matt looks calm and contemporary, satin-matt and satin are a little easier to clean, high gloss gives a mirror-like, luxurious effect. For kitchens and doors many clients choose satin-matt; for radiators matt or satin.

Which materials can you lacquer?

Metals (iron, aluminium, stainless and galvanised steel), wood (solid or veneer), MDF and plastic. For every material we choose the right pre-treatment and primer.
