Olive-green radiators for bistrobar Brouss
A full set of panel radiators, yellowed after years of service, got a second life in RAL 6003 olive green with a matt finish. The finishing touch to a thorough interior renovation.
A radiator easily lasts thirty years or more. It is usually the paint that gives up first: yellowed, flaking or simply no longer matching your interior. We give your radiators a new, hard and heat-resistant coat of lacquer in the colour you choose.
Buying a new radiator means new material, a heating engineer adjusting the connections and often a model that doesn’t quite fit the existing recess. Refinishing an existing radiator is more sustainable and lets you keep your classic cast-iron pieces, with all their character and warmth.
You are also free to choose any colour: from pure white or anthracite to a bold olive green, like the radiators of bistrobar Brouss in Tildonk.
The radiators are disconnected (by you or your heating engineer) and brought to our workshop in Tildonk. There they are thoroughly degreased. Loose paint and rust are removed by sanding or blasting, depending on the condition of the surface.
Next comes an adhesion primer and a 2K PU topcoat, sprayed in our paint booth. This way the lacquer also reaches between the fins and columns, where a brush never gets. The finish withstands the temperatures of a normal heating system and does not yellow like classic radiator paint.
We lacquer in any RAL colour and, on request, in NCS shades. You choose the gloss level: matt, satin-matt, satin or high gloss. Matt radiators look calm and contemporary; satin is a little easier to clean.

A batch of convector covers in grey and in brown wood-effect foil was given one uniform white lacquer, perforated grilles included.
For a renovation project we treat radiators in batches. One batch leaves the workshop, the next one of no fewer than twelve radiators is already waiting.
Yes, the radiators need to come to our workshop disconnected. You can do this yourself or have your heating engineer do it. You can drop them off with us; feel free to ask about collection.
No. 2K PU lacquer is sprayed in our paint booth under controlled conditions. That is the only way to get an even, hard coat, including between the fins.
